



Mr. Gus Altuzarra
Is and has been a principal, the Secondary Marketing Officer, of Vertical Financial Group since Vertical Financial was founded in July 2004. His duties include the management of Underwriting and all Secondary Market activities. Vertical Financial Group is a company that has been acting as a Mortgage Banker, funding Retail and Wholesale loans, primarily in the Alt-A loan arena.
Mr. Altuzarra is a Graduate of the University of Southern California with a Bachelor in Arts Degree in Chemistry. During his senior year at USC, Mr. Altuzarra took some elective classes which included Real Estate Finance and earned his Real Estate Sales license which was updated to a Real Estate Brokers license in 1984. Mr. Altuzarra joined Granite Mortgage Center in 1983 as a Wholesale Hard Money loan officer. As a Wholesale loan officer Mr. Altuzarra would solicit Mortgage Brokers for Hard Money loans. In early 1985 Mr. Altuzarra joined Sterling Home Loans in Anaheim, also a Hard Money lender, as Sales Manager.
In 1985 the 1st version of Sub-Prime lending bridged the gap between conventional financing and Hard Money. While at Sterling his duties included Sales, Underwriting and Secondary Market Investor relations. Sterling quickly became a player in the Sub-
